Today I went to church as every Sunday, and the message was about patience, that we should know how to wait, since impatience does not achieve anything, but generates anguish and stress. Preaching was very interesting, I'll talk about it later.
But when I came on the way home, I meditated everything that was said and thought of something else. It is true that we must be patient, so as not to enter into anguish, in fact patience is a great virtue. A patient person, has a lot of land earned in life, however, I thought that when we expect something, we must act too.
What I mean is the following ... If you want to have a mango plant to eat mangos in the season every year, you should not just sow a seed and wait ... you should also take care of the plant, water it every day, take care of it of pests, and all the care that a mango plant requires.
If you sow a mango seed and only that, it is very likely that the plant will die sooner or later, you did not work on what you expected, and we must bear in mind that there are external agents that influence what you want.
So I thought, if I want to achieve something, it is true that I must be patient so as not to distress myself if I do not get it as fast as I would like, but it is also very true that I must work on that. If you leave everything that runs on your own, you are in danger of never achieving it. Therefore you have to work according to what you want. If you want to be a violinist, study for a violinist, if you want to take a trip to Russia, study Russian while you arrange all the other details to travel, if you want to drive, look for driving lessons.
No one better than us can work according to what we want. Let us always take the necessary steps to achieve what we want ... never sit back and wait for things to come alone as if by magic. The effort and dedication is the engine that will allow us to achieve everything we set out to do.
