You cannot be on top of your professional careers like Ronaldo and Messi, and your motivational level won’t be high. It has to be because that is the only logical explanation to why they have been able to achieve so many feats over the years. Either they seek their motivation from within or they get it from outside
To constantly wish to be the best for the past 10 years is not a joke. They put in the same hard work, with the same motivation even after they have won everything there is to be won and yet, they are never satisfied. If we have this approach to wealth too, I think most people would be billionaires.
It is easy to drop the standard when there is nothing more to achieve or when you have achieved everything you set out to achieve in the first place. This dynamic duo always set new standards as they have achieved what they initially set out to achieve. They somehow understand who they are and they are staying motivated.
Speaking of who you are, Ronaldo moved to Juventus to keep his motivational level high. Yes, the politics in Madrid must have forced his hands but he knew if he stayed amidst every uncertainty and politics, it might be hard for him to stay motivated for the season ahead. He moved to Juventus to rediscover another level of motivation. He has won everything there is to win with Real Madrid and the daunting task ahead with Juventus and in another country is enough motivation for him. Ronaldo and Messi know how to defy their age and do the impossible.
A lot has been said about Messi; not wanting to leave Barcelona because he is scared. That is totally untrue. What is there to be scared of? He is a living legend and he has re-written the history of football with his amazing feet. He is not willing to leave because he still has the motivation for playing, just like he had when he was a small ball. You would have been talking about a different challenge if he has lost the desire and motivation to continue playing for Barcelona but that is not the case.

Great example if Ronaldo &Messi. Sports is true example of showing you the fighting instinct one could have to keep you pumped up at the motivation level. Even playing for so many years these legends never let the zeal of sports to fall. The motivation to do better keep them going and they keep performing better and better

They have been consistently doing this over the years and the zeal has never waned. They both know what works for them and the need to constantly stay motivated gave Ronaldo the courage to move around clubs. I admire these two talents a lot. It shows that you can achieve success by working hard and going the extra miles.
Doing anything whole heartedly always bring the positive result. Never take up anything casually...make it a life to live long

Once we put our mind on something and never lose focus then success will surely follow it. Imagine, Ronaldo type, he developed his area of strength. If we want to make it in life then we must build and develop our areas of strength, what makes us to wake up in the morning, what put smile on our faces and what we can do for fun or free.
Yes, focus on your area of strength and develop it. Focus on what you have an advantage on and seek additional help on it. We need to enhance our gifts and be motivated to go through with it.
