All business people in the first place want to work with responsible managers. Qualities such as precision, accuracy, keeping a promise, doing the job to the end, not making excuses, giving their maximum are key parts of responsibility.
Never promise what you can not do, it ruins your reputation. Ask business partners and employees to be responsible and to comply with deadlines. Everything in life has its price and responsibility is paid the most.

Well, having a dream and believing in it completely takes care of the remaining. The vision truly does matter. Without vision and belief in that vision leads to giving up early. And that's what makes the difference.
95% of the people in this world start something and they give up too early. They start something, see few challenges down the road and they are done.
Finding a true mentor in life comes the next. Now, since one is sorted with what needs to be achieved, one needs to find the mentor who is already successful. This part is difficult though but true mentors are the ones who will actually work on someone day in day out, coach them with all they need and the rest will be taken care of.
Next comes commitment and followership. Commitment towards the goal and 100% loyalty to one's mentor and following them 100% without 0.1% doubt.
Challenges are part and parcel of everything we do in life. With an upgradation to ourselves, we upgrade our problems as well and without problems or challenges, there's no learning or growth at all.

I Second that. It's a must.
But what happens with most people is that they do not understand the difference between planning and overthinking. They tend to overthink and over-plan which wastes a lot of time and this becomes the reason for an opportunity loss.
It's all about understanding that thin line.
One should go for it when they are 80% prepared and not seek for 100% because perfection can't be achieved. It's a constant learning an improvement thing.

I would like to add ACTION to the KNOWLEDGE part which you mentioned.
Knowledge without action diminishes over time and doesn't add value to the life of others. It needs constant learning and interaction. Our mind is the most magnificent thing. It processes thousands of thoughts a day. In a world, where we have no limit to information, knowledge can be acquired easily, but what can't be acquired from others is an urge or an attitude to act which needs self-motivation or an inspiration in life which comes when we have a reason. That's why we say...all of us are here to serve a purpose.

You gave the main steps but success costs many things. Success is achieved by turning each step into a goal and each goal into a step. Success is not achieved only with special qualities. It is above all a work of constancy, method and organization.

Technically, what you are saying is completely correct. Success can't be achieved without fragmenting the vision into smaller goals which we call targets or sub-tasks. A goal can be however categorised into 3 forms: Short-term, mid-term and long-term. All of these have their own importance in the journey. The smaller ones give us motivation and confidence for the next mid-term or long-term goals.
However, the qualities mentioned above shows the strength of the character or the attitude which a person carries. And as @dobartim said, success is part of our character and that's reflected by our attitude that we carry for everything we do.
