Motivational Boost Day 2

What a busy day we had today here in the north. I had to run to town which always takes half a day at least and it always takes a lot out of me. Especially when I go with Frankie.

And especially when we have moments like this:

Icing sugar accident right there...

Usually Frankie walks but because I wanted to get more of a quick step I put her up in the cart hoping to get some bit of exercise in as I shopped around. Trying to make the most with the time that I have.

As time went by I had less time to myself. And today time has whipped on by so fast. The kids got home from school we had supper and then I had to head out once more to bring my 2nd born to Girl Guides. I was getting a bit frustrated as I was trying to make the time to do what I wanted to do. So when I got back from dropping Emma off, I "demanded" in a nice way to bring Piper for a walk.

So I left my husband with the other 2 kids and I went for a speedy walk around my tiny home town. I didn't feel like the walking I got from shopping was enough exercise, I didn't feel completely satisfied with it.
Though tonight is colder than it was last night, I dressed up anyways and started off on my walk. This time I took a selfie with Piper to show you all that I am outside doing my thang!

Well I tried to. Hyper Piper is always hard to get her to sit still outside. Aww, I just noticed the flash made the trees behind me disappear. Boooo! Sorry about that.

The night was quite cold and my face was freezing up nicely, my hair growing white from frost as I continued on. I took just a couple of pictures of the houses decorated with Christmas lights. Just a little something to prove that I did get out.

There are not that many decorated in my town and there are some I don't have pictures of as the more I stopped to take a picture, the colder I got.

As soon as I got home and warmed up I started right away on doing what @mattifer has requested. Her request:

I'd like you to stretch your hands way up in the air, then dive forward seems reach toward your toes. It's on if you don't get all the way there. Stand up slowly, one vertebrae at a time, then repeat the process. Do this 5 times.

Well I did that and more 😁 I felt really good after that walk, feeling like I could do more. So I did the stretching 5 times, then I did a set of 10 wall push ups (no judging please, I was never able to do push ups). I did the stretches again but this time something different happened. The first time I stretched I wasn't able to reach my ankles. Ya, I laughed at myself but hey if I can laugh at myself, so can you 😉 The second time I did it, I was able to bend further without even thinking about it and almost touching my ankles. How cool is that! ... Well it's cool for me lol 😆And then the wall push ups again.

I finished with doing 10 squats. By then I was feeling it in my knees and thighs, the walk from yesterday, this morning's shopping and the walk from earlier. And since I can't really take a picture of myself doing squats and all those exercises, I decided to take a picture of my surroundings.

I did the squats in front of the child decorated xmas tree.

And of Frankie doing squats with me.

Please don't mind the messy living room. With the 3 kids, the dogs and cat, and me not being home most of the day equals out to that. Also we don't have flooring yet. Still deciding on what type of flooring is best to have that will last the longest for our family. (The strip on the floor is where we had tape. It marked the limit of how close the kids could get to the tv. But then we changed the living room around and can't get rid of that strip. Good idea but then bad in the end lol.)

Thank you to all of you that are supporting me on this awesome journey! I am so grateful and also loving the encouragements and what I am being asked to do. It's changing things up day to day making it fun and challenging.

We do what and when we can. Perhaps putting up small house chore duties for the kids to help you out.. Of course they'll probably hope there's an allowance to it 😉

My place is just the same so I get my kids to help out unless they wanna life outdoors 😆

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I think what I need to teach them is to care. To care for the house and respect. I'm still working on how to teach them that. It goes for all things in life actually. and that's what I want them to learn as a life lesson. It's hard! lol.

And to top it I don't like (understatement) it at all

I am not quite understanding actifit to be honest. I did get to look into it a little but didn't have enough time to get all the details in.

I know! I don't like the mess either but, either I get mad about it and everyone is not happy because I become hulk mom or I give in let it happen, do what I got to do, and then clean at night or in the morning when the kids are at school. Tis life and there is only so much we can do and I don't like being hulk mom lol.

It is meant for daily. Just remember to post it to steemit before midnight your time. And then edit your pictures and stories in from steemit. Some have everything written out already so they just copy and paste once done.
At midnight the counter resets to 0

Funny thing is the count has been going up and down. I was at 624 and then its now at 537. I have some learning to do lol

i like how the christmas lights lit up in the cold and dark suburbs. so looking forward for Christmas!

I know! And on a cloudy dark night, it is not as spooky and eerie. Not that I mind it but it helps the other walkers get into the christmas spirit as they walk on by.

Keep demanding that walking the dog time. You being in good shape is good for everyone so it is not selfish!

It's true, it is not selfish. It's a good time to be making new routines too.

Love the Xmas lights and decorations! So nice that Frankie is working out with you! You are brave to go out in the cold. I can't! I end up having bone pain for days. Your Xmas tree looks lovely! Have a wonderful day!

That is unfortunate to not be able to, sorry it is that way for you. Our longest season is winter here so we get used to it quite easily. Just yesterday I was waiting for the bus to drop off the kids outside and i was wearing just a tank top for a shirt and it was -10 I think. I developed a thick skin this year. But I would have never waited a half hour like that. Building immunity lol.
