Going through the hurdles

Hello stemians! I wrote about finishing well two days ago, you can catch up on that here. I mentioned few things that if learned and applied would see us attain the goals for this year. While going through the piece I wrote, I thought of those that are actually on the right path. Those that have done that and are on another level, majorly those in the ‘young adult’ group. The group between been an ignorant youth and an adult. There are also things for them to learn to do now before getting into adulthood. Things to make hurdles of life easy to scale through.

The truth is that in this times we are living in, depression is real. There are a lot of adults that are smiling and seem to be happy, but actually having a void in their life. Something seem missing despite the money they might have. It is left to us not to do better and learn from them, some of the situations they find themselves in is just an accumulation of things they fail to learn.

Listed some things to learn to do;

  1. Genuine concept of parenting: This should be preached to everyone planning to have a family. Families make up the society we live in, which means that the state of the society [either bad or good] is the sum total of the families present in such society. Parenting has to be learned, it is simply nurturing and bringing up children. There must be a conscious effort in order to learn this and apply. It is not mainly providing physical needs, the mental and emotional need has to be nurtured too.
  2. Demanding and value deeper sense of relationship: This no time to gather and nurture relationships that are not beneficial to us. We should always define any relationship we are in, assumption is bad. At this stage time is of value, it has to be spend on things valuable; well defined relationships.
  3. Learn stress management: When I first discovered this, I thought it is a joke. The older I get, the more I know there is a thing called stress and the need to be managed. It creeps in if not well managed and drains people of energy. Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain, on should avoid it. And the main reason one get stressed is spending time on things that does not matter.
  4. Redefine purpose: The first level of purpose is to learn what one’s purpose is, that is the first stage. At this stage, one needs to redefine it and know exactly who and what is driving the purpose we are holding onto.
  5. Know why you are living: learning how to survive is good, finding what is worth surviving for is better. Get the difference between survival and the significance of living.

Stop existing and start living.

We are all on the learning and growing curve, all we need do is to channel positive and conscious effort to these things.
