FINDING COMFORT IN DISCOMFORT

Comfort is simply being in a peaceful and calm state of mind. A time when we feel the things around favour us. The opposite is discomfort and it is definitely not a good feeling at all. It can be a feeling of pain, hurt or down with a problem. Due to circumstances around us, people have found a way to find comfort in discomfort. Let me explain clearly to you.

I read it somewhere that people don't feel love to be in a relationship these days, they just want to have the feeling of being with someone. No matter what they go through in the relationship, they endure and make themselves happy with the condition. This is really wrong. How easy can it be to be happy with pain? Not easy at all.

There are so married women that face abuse from their husbands but they come out with a smile and cover up for him. They are already used to the pain and have found comfort in it. They have adjusted in a way that they will stay in the marriage and make their husband look like an angel to others at the detriment of their happiness. This goes on for so long till they start breaking down.

This works for depressed people too. They appear happy and hardly share their problems. They have grown to find comfort in the state of discomfort. This goes on till discomfort push them to the wrong decisions.

All I am trying to point out is this: it is terrible to find comfort in discomfort. We should avoid pain whatsoever. It is not good for the body neither is it good for you as a person. Don't keep silence and walk into comfort till you have no option than to endure. Enduring pain for a long time is finding comfort in the pain we are feeling. Anything that works against our happiness, laughter or smile is dangerous to our health.

If it is about relationship/marriage, don't pity anyone to be or stay in it. If you are abused and your partner won't change, run from this toxicity. The motion 'i will change him/her' may work for others and not you. Our endurance levels differ, this is why we have to do things as we are. Find comfort in things that make you happy like your hobbies and interests. You owe yourself long life in good health. Thank you for reading this and have a great weekend ahead.
