We unnecessarily attract too many problems than we can solve, create too many expectations for ourselves than we can meet. Making us feel like failures in our own eyes when a lot of people cannot even measure even up to half of what we have done. Sometimes, we unnecessarily soak ourselves in too much pressure, leaving us worn out with a feeling of dejection and depression.

A common form of depression is thinking about your age and things you feel you should have achieved or be doing. Then you think about others, same age or younger who seem to have it all figured out and have all going well for them. And suddenly, you feel like a loser, backward and a failure.

The competition is not about outsmarting others just so you can prove that you made it. The competition is with your yesterday, with the man staring at you in the mirror; with you. It is to become a better person by setting up realistic goals, with reformed mindset and changed habits.

Sometimes, all we need to be happy are just the basic necessities of life. Streamline your thoughts into tiny pieces and patterns that work for you and your happiness will come. No pressures, no competition with anyone, no brooding on negative thoughts and say no to depression.
