Get Up.
A wise man once said, your background should not put your back on the ground. When you fall, make sure you land on your back because when you land on your back, you can look up and when you look up, you can get up.
A lot of time life throws us down. We feel helpless and look for every way out. A lot of time we think we understand things but life happens and it turns our understanding in another direction.
Life happens. Life will happen. It is a reality but how you respond to it says a lot about how you will fare.
When life knocks you down, dust yourself and try again. When you hit a rock bottom, you don't sit down and cry, you get up, restrategize and try again.
You have failed? Try again. Don't be defined by the things that happened to you. When a defining moment comes, define the moment or else the moment will define you.
The story of the man and his donkey perfectly explained this. The donkey got into a ditch and this man struggled to pull the donkey up. He decided to be throwing dirt into the ditch in a bid to at least bury the donkey since there was no turning back. For every heap of sand he throws into the ditch, the donkey shook it and use it as a step. When the owner noticed what the donkey was doing, he intensified effort and the donkey did that till it came up and the owner grabbed it.
Life is like that, so when life throws dirt at you, when situations knock you off your stride, when life happens, dust it off and try again. If you can look up, you can get up. Looking up means you are seeing the bigger picture, and you are not defined by the things you are going through.
You cannot feature in a future that you cannot picture. Get up!.
