Know Your Place.
Often times, we feel this desire to be accepted by people, so we always seek to compromise our standards. We are too focused on what people think that we allow just anyone into our space. The people you allow into your space will determine how far you will go in life. Destiny is not emotional as I have come to learn. You have to do what's best for you but make sure you are not riding on others to the detriment of your conscience.
Know your place in people's lives. You cannot carry them like a bag of rice and they will hold you like a pinch of salt. A man will remain the same in 5 years except for two things: the books he reads and the people he associates with. Your association determines how far you will go and at which pace too.
I have learned over the years that, if you want to travel fast, you have to travel light. Make no apology for the people you have to cut off in your life's journey. You can't keep just anyone around you. I am not saying you have to judge people too quickly or early but how you will know those you are to cut off is determined by value.
