As I grow older in life,I have begun to see things in a different perspective and this has helped shape my thoughts and decisions.

Someone said the more we live, the more we learn. That's so true. It's expected that the level of mental abilities one has as a teenager changes for the better when the person becomes a youth, and should still improve to a better level when they become an adult. But this is not always true for some folks as they unfortunately choose to remain at a level that reflects immaturity though they're attaining an advanced age.

In our relationships especially, we should be more tolerant with people as we get older. We should be more more committed to our words and our demonstrate that through the fact that we stay with people as we said we would even when they obviously are failing themselves and those who care about them.

It's kind of funny and also somewhat painful, when you hear the reasons why some married couples decide to divorce. Ask persons who were once married why they took the path of divorce and you'll most times hear them still admit they loved their partner but just could not take it anymore. Then you're forced to wonder what exactly they could not take anymore.

You see, true love understands and knows that every one has flaws. True love knows that none is perfect yet and still goes ahead to love them just as if they were. True love doesn't throw a relationship away because it no longer resembles what they thought it was. No, it gets the courage to fix things, hoping and believing it would work again even much better than before. Giving people a chance to try again each time they do wrong or make a mistake is the kind of thing true love does.

True love doesn't just love in the good times alone. It loves even more in the bad times. As a matter if fact, it's in the so-called bad times you know whether you really have true love or an imitation.

So, when next that friend/acquaintance of yours or that special one you have chosen to love gets on your nerves so bad, remember that what you should not be doing is considering throwing in the towel. Get to fix things no matter how they appear to be broken down in your relationship.

Don't allow your confidence break down. Refuse to be a quitter. Rather immerse yourself into the relationship and give your best. This means that you do not give up. No retreat, no surrender. Do not surrender to challenges. It's not true that the grass is greener elsewhere. So, there's no need going there to check. Water your own lawn. Show some good level of stickability.

Now, that's how marriages and good friendships that last work. You brace up and continue to pour out your heart knowing that your love will ultimately impact the person you're loving and make them adopt a culture of love.
