An individual Coach and Friend (Tommy) and I (Wilson) had a fantasy, a dream. We take a gander at our childhood as our future. The two of us are dedicated dads and father figures for a large number of our competitors. Tommy and I grew up 3 hours from one another.

Tommy experienced childhood with the South Side of Chicago and I experienced childhood with the East Side of Indianapolis. We know how intense the avenues can be. Carrying on with a way of life where training is in a lower priority status behind everything else.

We strolled down that way and furthermore left that way of life. However, we see a large number of children in our locale that aren't settling on that extreme choice to leave what is "cool" and take a gander at a splendid and compensating future. We have heard such huge numbers of the reasons why and seen many come up short. This is an endless loop for some families in our locale. Something must be finished.

Tommy and I kept running into one another in an Office Depot one evening. Tommy was assembling a football camp/facility and inquired as to whether I had room schedule-wise to volunteer and mentor. I didn't waver! We met and talked about our dreams of where we felt our program could go and what it could do to help change our locale.

We shaped (OHF) Operation Healthy Family. One year back we began off in (2) Title 1 grade schools for our "Effort" football program. This year we have ventured into (2) extra center schools and keep on developing. We have joined with our nearby school region in an Anti-Bullying Campaign called "See It-Say It" and are beginning to offer an "Effort" soccer program. We are rolling out improvements in our locale. We are giving kids expectation, direction and training to set objectives and acquire these objectives. Nothing is inaccessible; it will take diligent work, commitment and the vision to succeed.
