Living a Fulfilling Life

We may not know where we come from or how we get here other than knowing we were born as babies by our mothers. We may not know if we have souls. We may not know if there is more to life than what we see. We may not even bother to try finding out. It may, or may not be necessary to our livelihood.

However, how we live, how we relate to the other person, how we interact in this complex community of beings, do matter and are important. Hence the advice from sages of old: "do unto others as you would be done by".

Our life and existence is an intricate web which we may not fully comprehend. But living a good life and generally being helpful to our fellow creatures do give us that inner satisfaction which points to us that we are in the right direction.

That kindly smile to a stranger, the gentle helping hand to those in need, those charitable things that wipe away tears from the eyes, those are the positive things we can do and should do to bring happiness and harmony into our lives and the lives of others around us. Good deeds like it's sister charity blesses those who give as well as those who receive.

We may not know the meaning of life, we may not know who we truly are, where we come from or wither we go after this life, but we do know that practicing those virtues as here mentioned give us inner peace and satisfactions that cannot be equalled by any theoretical discourse about life.

Life becomes meaningful only when we add value to it
