Focus on goal

Swami Vivekananda was traveling in America. Passing through a place, he saw some boys standing on the bridge with a firearm on the eggs in the river floating in the river. Not a single target of any boy seemed right. Then they took a gun from a boy and began to target themselves. He made the first target and he felt absolutely right ... .. Then one after another he made a total of 12 targets and all seemed absolutely right. The boys were stunned seeing this and asked them, "How do you do this?"

Swamiji said, "Whatever you are doing, put your whole mind in one work. If you are aiming, then your entire focus should be on your goal only. Then you will never miss. If you are reading your lesson, just think about the lesson. In my country children are taught to do this. "

Fear of Fear

Once in Bandaras, Swamiji was coming out of Durga's temple, and only then many monkeys there surrounded him. They started coming near them and scared. Swamiji became frightened and ran to run away to save himself, but the monkeys fell asleep, and they started running them. An elderly monk standing near him was watching all this, he stopped him and said, "Wait! face them !"

Swamiji quickly turned and started moving towards the monkeys; all the monkeys ran away. Swamiji got a serious lesson from this incident and after several years he also said in an address - "If you are ever afraid of anything, do not run away from him, roll back and face it."

Dare to speak truth

Swami Vivekananda was a brilliant student from the beginning and all were influenced by his personality and speech. When he told some fellow students, they all got enchanted and listened to him. One day during the interval, he was telling stories to some friends in the class, all were so amazed to hear all his talk that he did not know when masterji came to class and started teaching.

Masterji had just started reading that he heard some whispering.

"Who is talking?" He asked in a loud voice. Everyone switched on Swami Ji and students sitting with them.

Masterji immediately got angry, he immediately called those students and started asking a question related to the text. When no one could answer, then in the end masterji asked Swami Ji the same question. But Swamiji, if he knew everything beforehand, he easily answered.

Seeing this he became convinced that Swamiji was paying attention to the lesson and the rest of the students were engaged in talk. What was it, he sentenced everyone except Swami Ji to stand on the bench. All the students started standing up on a sale, Swamy ji did the same.

Then Master said, "Narendra (Swami Vivekananda)) you sit down."

"No sir, I must be standing because I was the one who was talking to these students." Swamiji urged.
