"The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind" really moved me with the strong will of a boy to bring the change to his community. The movie itself is uplifted from the true story that is adapted from a book by William Kamkwamba (Maxwell Simba). It brought us to the year of 2001 in Malawi, where the people in this territory were struggling to survive while parent Trywell (Ejiofor) and Agnes (Aïssa Maïga) focused on their children's education. Wiliam is forced to leave school after failing to pay school fee, but he determined to help his community facing famine. This 13 years old boy observed the move of nature and the way the wheel spin, by then, he decided to learn deeper how those can be.

Through this film we can observe the complexity in the characterisation, mostly in Ejiofor's conflicted, failed father who unable to crave education to his brilliant son yet he was also faced the consequences of feeling less intelligent than them and of the crippling financial impact which rises unavoidable darkness in the story and Ejiofor as William father must fight the brutal reality of Malawi's early 2000s for food crisis while the government gives no hope for their crop.
