Guys that Fight

If you haven't seen it or heard about it you might indeed think that the movie is only about guys that fight, so nothing to really watch. After all do guys really need a deep plot line or twist to see a movie? Give us some decent action, special effects and a good fight scene chances are we will be happy.



This movie however is a little different. Yes it does have guys that fight, the movie does also make some comments about our society in terms of it being a consumer driven one and it is deeper than guys just fighting.

I won't go too deeply into the story line in case you haven't seen it for what ever reason. in essence, Edward Norton is an average guy surviving life, nothing too interesting about it. He even goes to support groups in order to see if he can relive his insomnia.

He meets Helena Bonham Carter at one of these support groups and things improve a little. It is only when he meets Brad Pitt that things get interesting, Brad brings him into the world of underground fights as well as a few other things. That will be enough of the story line.

I do suggest that you will probably want to watch it more than once. The ending is a ripper. Some may consider the movie a bit too too dark and violent, but that is often said when something comes out that pushes the envelope.
