When Drug Deals go Bad

Javier Bardem gives a truly evil and menacing performance, it almost seems to come too easy for him. Tommy Lee Jones gives an excellent performance and seems at home portraying a law man. The movie is beautifully shot, and does have some moments of humour amongst the gore.

Here we have hit man Anton Chigurh strangling a deputy sheriff to escape custody. Meanwhile, Llewelyn Moss is out in the desert and comes across the aftermath of a drug deal gone very, very wrong. He finds several bodies, one survivor, and two million dollars in a briefcase. Like most people he decides to take the money.

Later that day he is chased by two men in a truck out in the desert, he manages to escapes, but now he has people after him. So he drives to a motel in Del Rio, where he hides the money.

Chigurh has been hired to recover the money, he kills most people that see him because he can. He is on Moss' trail and arrives at his home where he uses a pneumatically powered "bolt pistol" break the lock.

Shortly after we have the sheriff Tom Bell, investigating the break in, he notices the blown-out lock.

Moss isn't aware that there is a tracker with the money that Chigurh is using to track him down. Moss retrieves the money just before Chigurh is about to find it. Moss has now moved to another hotel and finds the tracker, Chigurh however is hot on his trail, and the confrontation ends in both of them wounded.

Bell manages to reach the motel rendezvous at El Paso, only to see Moss lying dead. When Moss' Carla Jean wife arrives, she chokes up upon seeing her husband's dead body.

A few weeks later Carla Jean returns from her mother's funeral to find Chigurh waiting for her. As he drives away through the neighborhood, a car crashes into his at an intersection and Chigurh is injured. He bribes two young boys for their silence, and flees the scene.
