Braveheart (1995) by Mel Gibson (REVIEW)
I would say that this is one of the best historical movies ever produced. It has a taste of a sadness and bravery at the same time, you will experience the pain through the dramatic evens of the main character while he is trying to revenge the death of his close ones, also bring peace once more to the people of Scotland.
William Wallace also called a rebellion who leads an uprising army of like-minded people against the rude English ruler Edward Longshanks who wants to inherit the crown of Scotland for himself.
When William was a youngster, his father and elder brother along with many others lost their lives trying to free Scotland. After the death of his loved ones, he was taken under his uncle’s wing. After 20 years, William returns to his homeland. He falls in love with the beautiful Murron.
Since her life will be taken away by those English people he decides to fulfill his life goal, or to make Scotland a free country, forever.
I am pretty sure that you have heard about this movie directed by Mel Gibson, because I remember watching this movie long time ago, it was very impressive and the acting, the story and everything else was well written and delivered to the viewers. The ending was also fantastic, one of the best war movies out there, it may remind you of the TV show Vikings, highly recommended piece of art.
