Edge of Tomorrow (2014) by Doug Liman (REVIEW)

in #movie5 years ago

Even though I am not a huge fan of Tom Cruise still decided to give this movie a chance. It turns out that the movie was fine, he was okay in his role same as Emily Blunt. Those two are the main characters in this science fiction movie.

It is a nice piece of sci-fi that will offer you a pleasant story that will impress you. The great scenario and direction make this movie to be on a higher ground and appreciated by sci-fi fans.

Live, die, repeat. Those are the main words in this movie, you will have to watch the movie to fully understand what I mean.

This movie it takes place in the near future, a future in our planet that is controlled and overtaken by aliens while our army is not enough to stand a chance against the fight with those alien occupiers, Cage (Tom Cruise) and Rita (Emily Blunt) decide to step up and fight them. Those two soldiers are relive the same day over and over again, they restart after they die in the combat which makes this movie a little bit confusing but you will get used to it pretty quickly.

This makes “Edge of Tomorrow” to be a post-apocalyptic movie that is shown in a different light than the others and the thriller elements are well folded in this sci-fi story that will make you enjoy the movie even though you are not a sci-fi fan.

Cruise killed it in this movie. Of course his best work was in Collateral the acting is so good you forget you're watching Tom Cruise.
