He Can Talk To Fishes

Finally got to watch the new DC installment of Aquaman, and I even managed to purposefully miss any and all spoilers.

Now as I have mentioned many a time before, I hate spoilers and to do this review justice, I need to touch on some elements from the movie that might spoil it, if you haven't seen it yet, so rather book make this page and come back after you've watch it and let me know if you agree or not. Otherwise consider yourself warned.

The movie fell very much in line with the over all feel of the all the other recent DC film, everything in it is incredibly over-the-top, like they wanted to create the biggest baddest battles ever, and also seems to have to out do the previous film. I would have liked to see a little less epic larger scale battles and more story focused movie, if this is how things are going now, what's it gonna look like later on when the Justice League gets bigger? There is just so much that happens in this film, maybe too much, especially with the huge CGI battle scenes, however I was never bored throughout Aquaman because of the pretty amazing action sequences. One of the best parts was in the beginning where his mom takes on some guards coming to take her away, it was pretty epic.

At the end of the day it's a super hero movie and maybe over the top works, it was a fun story and I enjoyed it.

This Aquaman gets a 8/10

Fun movie that was enjoyable from beginning to end.
