You Go Girl

Another reboot, of a reboot, Hollywood is seriously running out of new ideas.

This trailer didn't make really do much for me, it's seems watered down and doesn't bring the sass that Charlie's Angels from 2000 did. My angels will always be Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore, it's like Batman, there will only ever be one Batman and that will always and forever be Michael Keaton, from the Tim Burton directed films.

Elizabeth Banks who stars as Bosley, basically the Angels handler, also wrote and directs this movie, which is her second full feature film after Pitch Perfect 2. The trailer looks like it's a fun girl power spy kickass party, but comes off not at all as funny as the previous two reboots. The funniest part of the trailer was the outright appeal to the current feminist narrative, girls can do it better, which there is nothing wrong with, but it comes off like it needs to be said to favor the mob. Just for the record I would point out the exact same if it was done by men, because it's just silly.

All in all, I'll most definitely give this a skip at the cinema and catch it on Netflix when it comes out.
