My Greatest Sports Movie Of All Time.
I am really excited about this contest, no doubt. I had flashbacks and memory flashes remembering this amazing movie that made me shed serious tears. I had goosebumps all over. My pick for my greatest sports movie of all time is "The Blind Side".
This movie was about a black guy called "Big Mike" and it is actually a true life story. You would be absolutely thrilled at how this guy's life turned out. I learned about hope, love, compassion, understanding, sacrifice and acceptance from this awesome movie.
Big Mike had potentials but he was undecided as he could play Rugby and also good with basketball. He was from a poor background with a coke addict as a mother, and then with a brother, he got separated from. He tried to make ends meet by picking up leftover snacks after the game.
There was this amazing family who spotted him; the woman, actually. She always comes out as tough but she is deeply compassionate. Their family is so rich and their son; the second born actually like Big Mike; he is hard not to notice anyway due to his big frame and this youngest son; AJ is actually very small. They had two children by the way; a guy and that A.J boy.
The mother saw Big Mike walking only God knows where in the rain and provided shelter for him for that night. He got close to him by asking him questions and she spoke with her husband on how they can help Big Mike.

It took a while before the daughter could accept Big Mike but she finally did. They helped him rediscover himself and pushed him to greater heights. There were ups and downs, yes but this family stood by him. They helped him and accepted him as a son. He felt like one too and Big Mike is kindhearted too.
A lot of people; especially the rich friends of the woman tried to mock her to adopting a black child when she is white with her family members, but she was so sure and had to cut off those friends. She understands how priviledged she was when Big Mike told her he has never had a bed to himself. She ran out of that room and she locked herself up in her room, crying.
Life is indeed a priviledge and when we are blessed to have a more than another, we should not build a taller fence but rather a bigger table.
Don't feel proud because you have bread. Always remember that someone owns the bakery.
I learned a lot from this movie on how one good act of kindness can bring about the dreams of another and in that person's dream, you can get your own fulfilment.
Big Mike became a global star and won several awards and fame just because of one kind family; initiated by a woman. I also learned that we should never ignore our sense of judgement too. There are tons of lessons to be picked from this movie and I would recommend it anytime and any day. It is an old movie but evergreen!.
