2.0 is a 2018 Indian 3D science fiction-action film directed by S. Shankar and co-written by Shankar with B. Jeyamohan. The film was produced under the banner Lyca Productions. The movie is a sequel of Enthiran (2010), it features Rajinikanth reprising the roles of Dr. Vaseegaran and Chitti, alongside Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. . In addition to its original language, the film would be released in 14 other languages with dubbed versions. The soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics written by Madhan Karky and Na. Muthukumar. The movie is produced on an estimated budget of ₹543 crore (US$76 million), 2.0 is the most expensive Indian film.

The role of Akshay Kumar was initially offered to Hollywood star Arnold Schwarzenegger. The movie was shot in 3D instead of converting 2D format into 3D, which will enhance the effect of the film. The heart of 2.0 is in its visual effects. More than 15 VFX companies reportedly worked on the film, which finally has over 900 visual effects shots. The filmmakers have reportedly recovered Rs 370 crore out of 500 already vis-a-vis the film's satellite rights, digital rights and the distribution rights.

Nowadays there are many proofs saying that the radiations from cell phone towers have made the lives of birds miserable. This radiation affects the health of the bird and makes it difficult for them to live. At night certain birds hit the cell phone towers because of which the bird is either injures itself or dies . Second, it has also recently been discovered that expansion of universe is accelerating, which has been attributed to a form of energy called dark energy. Some physicists speculate that a form of dark energy called quintessence could be a fifth force.
