Country Pomona screening the movie on intuition



It is all go this week with PGS-Intuition Is Your Personal Guidance System coming to the Sunshine Coast. The film is showing three nights in a row at different places Pomona was the first off the block with it happening on Monday night. It is a 40 minutes drive to Pomona which I am told is located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The town is gorgeous and worth visiting, but eat early because - the pub, the Italian restaurant and any cafe closes early.

We planned to arrive at the Majestic Theatre at 5:30; this was because the director Bill Bennett needed to test the USB for the screening. Even worse she did not receive the Blue Ray that was arranged to be sent by Fan-Force the film disturbing company. You see at the very last moment the manager informed him that because the theatre is 100 years old there was no facilities for a digital cinema package to be used. Well this put the cat amongst the pigeons! PGS is a cinema on demand movie which a film distributing company is paid to make sure the movies are organised. They sent a DCP to the theatre or cinema a week or two weeks before a screening to put into their system. This is easy when it works well.

Bill made it work! Cherry the manager was happy. All her work is voluntary. She gives up to 70 hours a week of her time to the theatre. Bravo Cherry.



It was a most welcoming old country place with a lot of character. The lace table cloth is a nice touch.

Blankets and heaters were put out to combat the cold. They were most welcome because it was chilly.
