Dawn of the Dead
Another use for a Mall.
Unlike some movies that build up to the big bangs this one jumps straight into the car crashes and explosions. The pace doesn't really let up until the characters get to the mall. The cast do an excellent job plus the makeup artists help take it to the next level.
We have a nurse that is finishing up her shift just as something strange is occurring, never mind that it's been a long day and it's time to go home. The next morning she wakes up and the neighbours are zombies, they attack her husband when he goes to get the paper.
As she flees the house she stumbles on a few survivors, they decide to head to the mall. It should be reasonably secure and have a lot of supplies so they can hole up until the zombies die off. The zombies however aren't dying off that quickly, so supplies begin to run low. Plus there are other survivors outside, so much for the mall. Time to make an escape plan.
Yes it is another zombie movie, but it is with a bit of a twist and fast paced so worth watching.
Now tell me Jeff - is this cover the original from the 70s-80s or the remake? Now the original in the mall was an epic apocalyptic tale. The remake however - with the fast moving Zombies is rediculous (whilst still enjoyable). This Knight does struggle with the fast moving Zombie theme - for if Zombies can run - mankind is doomed. SK.
