Wild Strawberries

Here's a reply to @inertia post A Face in the Crowd. The video in that post ask two questions:

  1. What stories are we telling today that you think will hold greater meaning sixty years from now? None, I think most stories today are somewhat vapid and loud garbage the stories that will have meaning are the old ones like Wild Strawberries.

  2. What modern performances will seem greater in retrospect? same answer as the fist question

The movie Wild Strawberries
Original Title: Smultronstället
Movie director: Ingmar Bergman
Synopsis:
After living a life marked by coldness, an aging professor is forced to confront the emptiness of his existence.

Victor Sjostrom plays the aging professor and its one of the best performances you'll ever see.

Sort:

The dream sequences are among the greatest I've seen. It might also be the first road movie ever made :p

I'm just now seeing this comment
