After 'Justice League', Zack Snyder will work on Remake 'The Fountainhead'
Tackling the DC Extended Universe superhero movie for almost a decade, it seems to encourage director Zack Snyder to find a new movie project outside the superhero genre. Moreover, because the superhero films made by Snyder has never escaped the name of controversy and polarization, of course he needs a fresh project and away from negative sentiment. Now Snyder has finally found his latest movie project, along with social media Vero the filmmaker revealed will direct the remake of The Fountainhead .
Raised from Ayn Rand's 1943 novel, The Fountainhead revolves around architect and innovator Howard Roark. Known for his high selfishness, Roark always thinks idealist and against the current in spawning his work. As a result of his rigid attitude, Roark is not only disliked by the architecture, but also humanitarian activist and renowned architectural critic Elisworth Toohey. In addition to them, Roark is also hostile to the influential publisher Gail Wynand, and a columnist Roark fan, Dominique Francon, who apparently intends to destroy his career. FYI, The Fountainhead himself was first appointed to the big screen in 1949, where the film was directed by King Vidor and starring Gary Cooper as Roark.
During his time at DC Extended Universe, Snyder is known to have directed Man of Steel (2013), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017). For the last film, Snyder stepped down in the middle of post-production process, following the tragedy that befell her family. Although his superhero films are often criticized for stories that are less enchanting and too dark, but no one deny the greatness of 300 pembesut and Watchmen in creating a stunning visual scene.
