'Godzilla: King of Monsters' Releases First Photo
Legendary seems to have started the promotion of Godzilla: King of Monsters , as the first photo of the sequel was released via Entertainment Weekly . With its cool visuals, this photo shows Godzilla spitting out Atomic Breath, known as the monster king's ultimate weapon. With a five-year setting after the first film, the sequel is ready to present the battle royale of monsters, where Godzilla will fight in a powerful duel involving Rodan, Mothra and the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah.
King of Monsters directed by Michael Dougherty ( Crampus ), replacing Gareth Edwards who gush first film. According to Dougherty, the world reacts to Godzilla's appearance as if they were reacting to a terrible incident, which is considered exaggerated by Dougherty. Although Godzilla has never appeared since the end of the first destructive film, Dougherty explains in this sequel there is still endless fear and speculation about whether Godzilla is the only gigantic monster, or actually there are other monsters that stalk the human race.
Based on the official synopsis, King of Monsters highlighted the heroic action of Monarch (foreign research organization) after their members confronted the gigantic monsters including Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra and the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah. When all these monsters came to the surface, they fought all out to be the strongest, and made the existence of mankind threatened. The film stars Millie Bobby Brown , Vera Farmiga , Kyle Chandler , Ken Watanabe and Sally Hawkins .
FYI, Godzilla: King of Monsters is the third film based on MonsterVerse universe, following Godzilla (2014) and Kong: Skull Island (2017). The next movie is Godzilla vs. Kong arable Adam Wingard , where the movie MonsterVerse climax will present a duel of two legendary monsters. Interestingly, Dougherty signals there will be an easter egg in King of Monsters that leads to Godzilla's duel against Kong.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be released May 31, 2019, and the first trailer is predicted to slide this weekend through Comic-Con event.
