Cut Nyak Dhien (old spelling: Tjoet Nja 'Dhien, Lampadang, Kingdom of Aceh, 1848 - Sumedang, West Java, 6 November 1908; buried in Gunung Puyuh, Sumedang) is an Indonesian National Hero from Aceh who fought against the Aceh War. After the VI Mukim area was attacked, he fled, while Ibrahim Lamnga's style fought against the Dutch. Ibrahim Lamnga was killed in Gle Tarum on June 29, 1878 which caused Cut Nyak Dhien to be very angry and vow about the abolition of the Dutch.!

Cut Nyak Dien's struggle was interpreted in the epic drama Tjoet Nja 'Dhien in 1988 directed by Eros Djarot and starring Christine Hakim as Tjoet Nja' Dhien, Piet Burnama as Pang Laot, Slamet Rahardjo as Teuku Umar and also supported by Rudy Wowor. The film won the Citra Cup as the best film, and was the first Indonesian film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival (1989).

On April 13, 2014, a work of art to commemorate Cut Nyak Dhien's (CND) struggle and life journey in the form of a monologue theater played and directed by Sha Ine Febriyanti; first performed at the Indonesian Kaya Auditorium, Jakarta. The 40-minute script written by Prajna Paramita was then staged back in 2015 in Jakarta, Pekalongan, Magelang, Semarang and Banda Aceh. The plan, CND monolong theater will also be staged in Australia and the Netherlands.
