Here is your beloved grandpa Steven to tell you some rock "battles" he has suffered, enjoyed or seen over several decades. Most of them focused on that great and huge home-made festival that takes place on the Catalan coast, 45 km away from Barcelona and with more pain than glory and not without sweat, blood and tears, a series of music fans of the devil they manage to celebrate against all odds. I really tell you, dear readers, that if you like good music, do not even think about it. You will not find anywhere else in the world wit a quality/price ratio like this event.

Well, let's go for today's anecdote. And we'll start it with a seemingly easy rock question: What has a guitarist/lead singer of a San Francisco band in common with one of its same characteristics, but from San Diego?

No, it's not that both of them are Americans, smartass! Not only that they are on music business several decades; or to that they ensure at 100% a sublime show and with quality and good songs; not even that both have acted in the Best Homemade Festival of the World (el mejor festival casero del mundo!!). No, friends, what unites these leaders is ...... the passion for my mamma's potato omelette!!!!

Yes, my friends, what you hear! Both Rock sons and charismatic musicians fought in a thousand of battles and idolized in their country have devotion for the Spanish potato omelette "made in my home"

You should have seen San Diego's friend holding a plate full of omelette slices with both hands, while making a picture with me. And should have seen his face when I made the joke of removing the plate. I though I wanted to suspend the concert, hehehe! Then everything ended in hugs and smiles when I told him who had cook such a delight.

And memorable was the moment when, needing something to drink, I went to look for a bit of barley juice 🍺 in the backstage fridge, I found a plate, wrapped with transparent paper and a paper with the name of the band on it!!! the guys had reserved half an omelette before it flyes away!!

Of course, the performances of both bands were the highlights of the festival where there use to be great shows.

So if you are thinking about start a festival or book a band for your town's parties, do not worry if the dressing rooms are smaller than what the bands say they want, or if there are enough barrels of beer or if you have not been able to get a big mirror, the main thing is that the mamma's of any of you can make a couple of omelettes... with many eggs! 🐣 🐣 🐣
