Deb music tips #1, using the blockchain to immortalize knowledge

Hello and greetings once again!

In and out , in and out, steemit has changed a lot, and if you've been following my recents posts, however scattered they are, many of you might realise that I sometimes experiment with steemit as a sort of time capsule, or immutable database to store information.

Like my brother's birthday wish that as far as I know, can never be removed from the steemit blockchain and can always be called upon......(in the unlikely scenario that 20 years from now, my bro says I didn't wish him a happy birthday in 2018, I can still pull it up!)

So with that being said, along side my easy living series that can still be called up on the blockchain today, I'll like to do another experiment.

Dropping music production tips on the blockchain, to be recalled in case I wanna teach a few of my students how I started music production.

Granted, Not everyone might connect with this, and heck most people might not understand it, but I want it to be on record that I have one of the largest collection of production tips on the blockchain 20 years from now when everything must surely have changed.

It would be fun and knowledgeable looking back 2,5,10,20 years from now when I'm surely one of the greatest music revolutionist, and using these humble posts to teach my students.

So without further talking let's get to it.

Deb tip 1, before you even touch the console.

The best tip, or information I can give to aspiring music producers out there is to know what it is you really want to do.

I see individuals, and most times, they want to be a producer, a mixing engineer, a mastering engineer, a musician, a DJ, an MC, a hype man all combined.

That's a very big shoe to fill and sooner or later, you find yourself being overwhelmed and spending years being a jack of all trade, master of none.

The best practice is to decide right from the onset just what you want to be.

A producer is someone who does the actual beat, oversees the general production line, and still acts as one of the critics of the song.

He usually has no business mixing or mastering, though most producers are mixing engineers too.

It's usually ok to major in two or maybe even in 3 fields, a producer, mixing engineer and maybe mastering, but i highly advise against that.

Get a team around you, be specialized on one field to the point that no one can come close to you in that field, this applies to every aspect of life too, no man is an island, and the success of most businesses relies on the success of the team.

Get good guys around you, decide on your course of action and become great.
