"Zombie" The Cranberries ~ Review
The song created by Dolores O'Rior is very popular in 1990. The Cranberries themselves were created when their home country of Ireland, there was a civil war between the pro-British loyalists and the nationalists and the Irish republics that took place from 1969 to 2001.
The song was made to protest the bombing incident in the town of Warrington, England in 1993 that killed two children named Jonathan Ball and Tim Parry. The Cranberries want to show that the battle they are doing will not give kemengan for any party, and it will make the victims become increasingly, especially for civilians. The term zombie in this song is intended for both parties who are at war. It was revealed by the guitarist Noel Hogan, who once said that their brains are like zombies, dead but alive.
The criticism of this Zombie song seems to be an effective step to muffle the war in Ireland. Because some time after after the emergence of this Zombie song, the Irish Republican Army (IRA) announced a ceasefire against the British and its followers.
