"Tears In Heaven" was written by Eric Clapton after the tragedy that occurred in his life in March 91st. His 4-year-old son Konor fell out of the window of the 53rd floor of a high-rise. Clapton for many months could not cope with grief. But over time he was able to find solace in music, deciding not just to continue playing, but to write a song about his beloved son.

Blues man could not write the whole text and asked for help from his friend. Co-authorship belongs to his friend Will Jennings, the one who wrote the lyrics of the song "My Heart Will Go On" (Celine Dion), which sounded in Titanic.

No wonder that "Tears In Heaven" became the most significant and popular composition in the career of Eric Clapton.

People at some inner level feel strong emotions, be it joy or sadness. In the end, it's just a good song, which is suitable, not at all, not for every mood. But you understand everything even if you do not know the history of its writing.

I respect Eric Clapton as a composer and musician in general, but I do not listen his music so often, and "Tears In Heaven" is even rarer. Exceptionally in those moments when I really become feel lousy and everything around seems to be wrong, dishonest and dull. Miraculously this song returns me to life and lubricates the gears in my head, gives a kick in my ass, so that I roll forward, took another step, albeit with great effort.
