Queens of The Stone Age and their last album "Villains"

in #music5 years ago (edited)

Do not make the mistake of judging for the new album of QOTSA from the phenomenal cover. The easy-to-read hypothesis of how the queens of the stone age has turned into a devil-blinded, unseen ado murderer under Mark pop fingers is not close to the truth. Personal mythology and deification are a must-have element of each rock star's arsenal, but Joshua, this magnificent musician, has no time to do like this. Still, we are talking about an artist who can shame every workaholic with his incredible productivity. Villains is the seventh album of QOTSA that take a long time to to be listed. Fortunately, the amount is obviously not at the expense of quality - this album is a frenzied glam rock band disco club that wants to dance hyper men for the guys and melting for women's thighs.

The successor to the desert stoner rock in 2013 does not lag long before putting the dancing rhythm (with the soul of the first song of the album, starting with misleading industrial noise before escalating to specimen cutting guitars, space synthesizers and drum drums as the backdrop of Homme's usual falsett. There is also a crawl-beat and stereo tunes captured and subsequently modified along the long tour and work with Iggy Pop on his last ablum, you can not go without the good an old and memorable minimalist rock reef that exudes the entire song.

You can not get excited about the next song, and there are also no slower oily pieces like the Psychedelic Hideaway. Despite the pace, most pieces do not fall under five minutes and do not touch, even on the contrary. Which brings us back to the recommendation from the beginning of the review not to literally accept Boneface's cover, nor the name of the seventh QOTSA album and the individual songs. Josh has repeatedly reiterated that he sees this project as a very pleasant espism from the everyday stupidity that surrounds him in America. Judging by the tight groove stoner rock with rich guitars and synthesizers at this album, it is really not bad.

What a strange review of a non-new album. Thanks for sharing, though.
