'Haunted Features' - New Original Music/Experimenting with New VSTs from Spitfire Audio! Electronic/Chill/Instrumental + Walkthrough!

So I was recently turned on

to Spitfire Audio from a YouTube channel I follow. They offer a bunch of free instruments and packs that run in any DAW, and I got all of them installed last night. This short lil tune uses the "soft piano", cello, and the choir instruments, which all sound pretty incredible, the sampling they did is super impressive. Let's go through it!

We are in 7/8 here,

though because the progression feels slow and stretched out, it's not particularly noticeable; the sort of random trills and accents on the piano also add to that feeling. The basic progression begins on our tonic of Eminor, then Cmajor, Dmajor, and Amajor (which is borrowed from our parallel major of Emajor). The C# adds a cool dissonance, and is used in the second half of the progression: Emin, Dmaj, Amajor (C# again), then C, before repeating the full 8 bars, with some variations in accents and the right hand melody.

Track 3, Cello, full 16 bars.

Track 2 is the choir

instrument, which plays B, A, F#, A, then B, D, C# and C, then repeats. Finally we have Track 3, the solo cello, which sounds AMAZING. I was blown away by this instrument, it has such an incredible rumbly, low end and is so much nicer than the default Ableton strings I was working with before. The full 16 bar progression is pictured above, and was based off the Choir line, changes things up at points to harmonize.
