Notable Song Lines #16: Sorry - Buckcherry

It's been ten years ago yet this song still sounds young. Sorry is a song from Buckcherry, which is very apologetic (apparently on its title) about the character's mistake done. The sincerity on how the song was expressed, as well as the words, are felt and well-delivered.

To be honest, the song wasn't too deep with its lyrics, and not particular on what happened. Yet, the melody and the sincerity makes this a great song.

The character and the girl might have already separated or at cool-off, but the longing is strong. Everything has changed, and contemplating how to restore the way things were. Making an apology can possibly rekindle the relationship.

When all you can do is to apologize instead of explaining things to fix the problem. There might be some words said that caused the heartbreak. You are hopeful that saying sorry can restore the love back.

Days may passed, you're still caught in thoughts of what happened. What causes it, and how to let things back. The heartbreak is taking its toll in both, with failing to fall asleep because of the pain. Of course, crying is very normal after heartbreak. But the point of the character is make things right and reconcile, and be together again.

Sorry, the hard rock ballad from Buckcherry, has become an American hit when it reached #9. However, it may had limited release internationally because it was not seen in music charts other than North America.
