One Nation Controlled By The Media

Nothing like a little bit of Green Day to get your mind off this horrible market we are all experiencing at the moment.

This song was released back in 2004 during the time of U.S. President George W. Bush, and the whole war of terrorism thing started, so the message was very political. The track has very much to do with how the mass media was perpetuating the the American war machine and orchestrated paranoia and idiocy among the public. They said that the song was a call for individuality, for the people to think for themselves. The song went on to win a Grammy and did pretty well on the charts.

As you know by now I'm very much a political commentator if you have visited my posts before, and I view myself as a individualist as well as a realist and a bit of a anarcho capitalist. Green Day have been pretty political as of late with the election of Trump, and have been very vocal about this at a few of their concerts. They went as far as having lyrics saying fuck Trump. Life as you know is not without it's sense of irony, because it has been the leftist mainstream media who is basically the communications wing of the democratic party that has been perpetuating the propaganda that Trump is literally Hitler. Oh how the tables have turned, all of the sudden the media is not about making money, and just about reporting the truth, what a joke. Wake up Green Day.
