“Bohemian Rhapsody” is not the most popular song for covers. There is nothing to add to it, change of stylistics is also not suitable, because the charm will be lost in any case. However, Sweetwater store staff decided to go in an unusual and rather simple way. They decided to re-record composition on modern equipment.
Cover idea was to replay the song note-to-note and imagine how track would sound if Queen used all the benefits of modern music technology when recording it: DAW, plug-ins and various equipment. Let's listen. By the way, I specifically rewound at 7:56, from that time composition begins.
When recording a cover, Sweetwater team used Telefunken microphones to record vocals. Drums were recorded on a DW installation. Guitarist Don Carr, to record a cover, armed himself with Red Special, so that all the parts of Brian May sounded authentic.
