Soundgarden - Fell on Black Days

I have warm attitude to Chris Cornell’s music and I cannot agree with the words of some admirers of grunge that Nirvana musically surpassed the Soundgarden. You should simply listen to several recordings of the group and understand that Cobain revealed only a grain of the potential of the Seattle sound.

If you like grunge, but only listened to Nirvana's "Nevermind", you know nothing about grunge. This music offers much more than depressive texts about drug intercourse with the brain under guitar minor distortion. And Soundgarden, releasing the album Superunknown in the 94th, showed it to the whole world.

This is rightly one of the best releases of band, including a large musical variety in songs. Guys dropped all the creative frames and wrote what the mood was for. Of course, melancholy and pessimism left, but the overall picture of work does not deteriorate. All the same, these elements determine the style of Cornell, and no one would understand the joke, if he wrote a protestant punk.

Song “Fell on Black Days” for me is the most beloved in the discography of this group. And if to think about it, it’s my favorite grunge composition along with “Would?” from Alice In Chains. I like sometimes to jump off a sharply daring heavy metal horse, lie down for an hour and plunge into a state of alienation. For some, this music becomes a catalyst for a depressive chain, but personally it gives me something that is sometimes enough - three or four minutes of solitude.

Think if you want. If you don't want to - just listen to what others are thinking.

“Fell on Black Days” is such a thoughtful and down-to-earth song, with which is pleasant to be sad on not a good day. It does not inspire any bad thoughts and does not aggravate the condition. Smooth track without intricate transitions, that making its way into a lazy stream of consciousness, but leaving no dark trace in it.

If you like these musical things, but for some reason have not had time to get acquainted with works of Soundgarden and Audioslave are music that causes a mild euphoria, like a breath of desired cool air.
