Nice song! And the whole album is quite good, but on this song it the whole world will know... "Hello, Dolly!"is a song written by Jerry Herman in 1963 for the eponymous musical. The song became world famous after the release of the single with the performance of Louis Armstrong. Armstrong had by that time received the unofficial title of "jazz Ambassador" from the US state Department and was considered a national pride. In the 60s, preliminary talks were held on his tour to the USSR, but he did not overcome the "iron curtain", though he toured in some "socialist" Eastern European countries. But at that time our morality was strictly guarded, and we did not decide what and whom to listen to. Now no one is telling us – and the country didn't collapse from it. Although many it then seemed unity-to walk in columns and shout hurrah. But God with him.
The song was included on Louis Armstrong's self-titled album, released in 1964 and achieved "Golden" status. In 1965 " Hello, Dolly!"received a Grammy award for song of the year, and Armstrong received a Grammy for best male vocals with that song.
