ROCK CALENDAR: November 27, 1953-Boris Grebenshchikov was born

Who is Boris Borisych (BB)? Songwriter, singer, organizer of the group "Aquarium" and many more... Wikipedia even says – "guitarist", but it's a bullshit lie. From a guitarist – both from Oleg mitiaeva Jimi Hendrix. I watch his work from the very beginning-I often visited St. Petersburg, and I have friends from mehmat, who studied with him and dragged me to rock concerts of groups of St. Petersburg University. No one knew then what Boris's songs were about, as no one could make out the words in the General roar.

But somewhere after the 80th, starting with the failure of "Aquarium" at the Tbilisi rock festival, everything began to change. Boris went on the way of Yuri Shevchuk, also not the greatest musician-he surrounded himself with beautiful musicians and gave them the opportunity to create music for his lyrics. No – not in the sense that parasitized on someone else's work – not so rude – and musicak was a joint work, and a good musician himself sdelvet it right – if we let it. And the musicians he selected a good. And the Aquarium was finally able to play quiet, so that you can hear was each note, and the words Grebenshikova songs-prayers finally opened to the audience.

I personally think his poems are blatant cheating, where the set of little related within the meaning of the words one chooses the sense – which he believes to be the main, and yet I, the old cynic, take it out and cling to some (not all) of his songs. And for that, I give him my respect.
