Since brother Ringo always didn't have new musical ideas, he did what McCartney advised him to do with his song "with a little help from my friends" - that is, he asked the guys – familiar musicians to help him record an album. As Ringo has an enviable spokoystviem and optimism of the enemies he had, and all the other friends. And friends did not disappoint and the songs picked up and played, and helped to sing – so get the candy, not the album. To help a friend came: mark Bolan, members of the Band, Billy Preston, Klaus Forman, Nicky Hopkins, Harry Nilsson and Jim Keltner. In addition, George Harrison and John Lennon together with Ringo participate in the recording of John Lennon's song "I'm the Greatest".

After the release of the album in November, critics took it with a Bang, the album conquered the canadian and American charts, and took 7th place in Britain. In the US, the singles from the album "Photograph" and "You're Sixteen" took first place in the charts.
