Hi Steemians! This music composition as made based on the movement of the Japanese candlesticks for Steem this week. This week was sort of steady, a little rocky at the end of the week, but I like that strong upward jump.

Musical Ideas
The idea was to make it sort of Brazillian Bossa Nova. Chords to follow.

First thing, is I played the chord in that style on the electric piano.
Bass
Bass in Bossa Nova is the indicator of genre to me. It has this constant rhythm of Dotted Quarter to 8th feel. It feels jazzy, but it has no swing in it. It's played straight 8ths and smooth.
Background Stringy Things
I probably didn't need to add this but I wanted to show the importance of just having something moving in the background that's not the melody but may hint at parts of it. I loaded a mellotron style of patch that I made and used that.
STEEM CHART MELODY
I used a traditional Cuban sound of cup muted trumpet. I didn't want to go into too much as far as making it 100% ethnically accurate, though in Brazil, I'm sure the cup muted trumpet is quite familiar. I like this sound as it feels almost familiar or some relative we're connected to. I played the chart so to speak. I read through the Steem chart while playing trumpet on the keyboard and using a breath controller for expression and dynamics / modwheel for vibrato.
