Music review: The Maine - Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu

in #music6 years ago

The Maine continues to explore the music they play in the latest song titled "Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu".

Anyone remember the Maine? Some time ago this band was enough to create a social media rush with their cover of a song from Justin Bieber titled "Love Yourself" which is considered even better than the original version. Bands that have been formed since mid-2000s ago this sounds more mature with the music they play. After becoming MTV darling through the song "Everything I Ask For" and "Into Your Arms" in 2008, many think that this band will only be struggling in pop rock music alone and have career paths similar to bands like their other, Disco Curtis. However, they reversed all of these predictions by growing into quality bands with extensive music references, even their last American Candy album managed to deliver a hat with embroidery "Make America Emo Again" became very popular.

As shown by Nylon, The Maine has returned with a new song titled "Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu" taken from the latest album Lovely Little Lonely which will be released on April 7, 2017. This song according to vocalist John O'Callaghan was inspired from the time when we can not say what's on our minds when we are at a precarious state. "(The song talks about) When the problem becomes crucial, and I do not have the power to use one of the 26 alphabets that I know."

John O'Callaghan said. The Maine's idea was written down since the first lyrics were sung by O'Callaghan, "What, what would you say / If you could say / Everything you needed to" To the one you needed to? "And also when the song started entering the chorus," I lose my voice when I look at you / Can not make a noise though I'm trying to / Tell you all the right words / Waiting on the right words. "If we compare it with 10 years ago, we can hear quite a drastic change from every album of The Maine. more confident with the music they always develop from time The song "Black Butterflies & Déjà Vu" opened with a very upbeat beat with melodic guitar passage, a little reminiscent of the music of The Cure in the 90s The most interesting part of the song is located on the bridge to mencapi ending, can be said that the part is very phenomenal.
