Gelderpop - Voorthuizen
Last Saturday it was finally the day, “Gelderpop” has landed at Zeumeren, a local recreation area and a place where I like to go for my #wednesdaywalks by @tattoodjay. This is my second one day music festival post, see my “Central Park” post here.
“Gelderpop” is an one day music festival hosting some great Dutch artist on the main stage, a dance tent were local DJ’s and some bigger names entertain the crowd with some edm and finally there is a big open tent playing party music all day. So musically a great festival setup. Oooh I almost forgot, a great food court serving a great verity of cuisines. Ok so far the introduction now the line-up at the main stage.
Guus Meeuwis – A great Dutch singer and performer with a great mixture of ballads and party songs. Great show off witch we saw the last part.
So that was Guus and while the terrain emptied we went to the front for the next performers.
Van Dik Hout A Dutch pop/rock band (nederpop) also performing in the Dutch language. They exist for 25 years now but have been less active for the past few years. Was great to see them perform again after so many years. Here are some clicks.
Racoon
A great Dutch band making great listening songs, just standing there and enjoying the music. We saw them earlier this year on "Central Park" and said to each other: "front row at "GelderPop"". So we did and it was amazing. Here some clicks.
Rondé
We passed on their performance and went for a bite to eat. The lines where quite long so we just heard them perform in the background. Sounded great though.
Daredavils
What a party that was, no shots as we where jumping around a lot. They mix all kind of songs together in one ten minute during song, going from ABBA to Kiss in two notes. What an energy they gave. Will post some links at the bottom, have a look at them.
Blof
Another great Dutch band performing mostly in the dutch language. Great performance and such beautiful songs, a lot of power ballads and some let's jump around songs. Here some clicks.
It was a great day and my voice is almost normal again. So graceful that we had a very lazy Sunday after this great party that will be back in 2020!!

Yes it was sold out again this year and next year is already announced. So glad that music is alive here like this so we have many great music festivals. Thanks for the visit and the comment.
We have a lot of music in our city Open Mic nights which we used to go and my wife would sing a couple of songs and various events with music our big one is the Oyster fest with a few stages and plenty of local bands and one headliner, we use dot go all the time but missed the last couple of years
