Heart - Rock Classics #30

These Girls were hot when I was young!

A small jubilee - after a month here comes the next edition - no. 30 of my Rock Classics series with a band led by two sisters I loved when I was young. Mainstream Rock one can define it - I have to confess I bought some of their records because of the album visuals (not to mention vinyl records - was before CD and any digital music formats). I hope you like that and maybe @rivalzzz has also something to contribute to them?

About Heart

Heart has been founded in 1967 (no -I am not that old - and they started with a different name) and became successful first in Canada before they also entered the US charts. I skip the boring part (or better, the one I can not contribute a lot) to the primary lineup with with the two lovely sisters Ann Wilson (lead singer) and Nancy Wilson (guitarist) who joined the Seattle based band in 1973. I discovered them in the 1980ies when they had real commercial success outside America as well. Their style was influenced by hard rock, heavy metal and folk music. In the mid 1980ies until th early 1990ies they achieved some chart breakers with rock ballads.

Heart has sold over 35 million records globally and is s ranked number 57 on VH1's "100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock". Since 2013 they are also a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Officially the band still exists even there are different opinions since the sisters had serious issues after a serious family incident so we assume the band is history unfortunately.
