Music is magic, Music is emotion #39: Jett Rebel

I want you to meet Jett Rebel, a young musician from the Netherlands who already has a long list of great songs and quite a reputation when it comes to drugs & alcohol abuse.. (of which he is clean for now).

Jett Rebel (who's name actually is Jelte Tuinstra) is (for me) a musician from the book. He doesn't really care if his music is becoming popular, all he want to do is make music. And that is something he know's very well :) making good music.
In that I tend to compare him with Kurt Combain, not in what he have reached with music but how he lives it.

Jett was announced as '3F Serious Talent' in 2013 and from that on the train started rolling from there. A lot of TV shows where interested in Jett because of his fresh way of making music and they invited him a lot to do interviews, but after a while he refused to doing more interviews because he didn't see himself as some kind of artist that only wanted to talk about himself, that distracted him while he only wanted to make music.

Last march he was a guest at a dutch radio show and made "THE GREATEST FUNK MASHUP OF THE CENTURY" , it really shows his musiciality:

That Jett Rebel has his own drive and way to do things show's his recording of his album 'Truck' he completely recorded the album with a Tascam Porta 4 track-cassetterecorder, 27 songs. It takes currage to do so, his comment was "It could be suicide towards the public, but that's how I wanted to record' :) I love that kind of attitude...On most of his albums he plays all the instruments himself...

Louise was a big hit in the Netherlands

Jett performed at the Dutch George Michael Tribute together with Candy Dulfer, they played "Careless Whisper" and that showed (for me) that he really is a great singer....

He did the same (paying a tribute) for Prince... He's quite some musician.

I don't know what it really is, but I like Jett Rebel a lot...his music, his way on looking at the industry and the choices he makes, they always turns out just fine..

This is his latest single, A cheerfull funny song..

I think he is a mix of Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison and a bit of Prince (musicality) but in a 'little' guy.. With great ambitions in making music...
