Our setlist for saturday
A golden oldy :)
Next saturday we have our first gig with "Loser bob" , that's the name of our band. I forgot to ask where the name came from and I really can't guess it, so I will get back to that.
The songs we have chosen are songs that are already good in our routine so we won't look bad on stage hahaha... But I am really looking forward to it. First time with my brother on stage, although that's not the real truth. We played together in a band with the "Sinterklaas feest" in Holland. Sinterklaas is a kind of pre-santa claus in Holland and is celebrated at the 5th of December. We played for the ocassion in a band called "The Pietels" , which comes from Beatles and Black Pete (zwarte piet), the assistent of Sinterklaas.... :) But enough about that, next saturday it is.....
Song one: Remember Tomorrow - Iron Maiden
Strange enough I didn't know the song before I got to play in this band. It's from 1980. I like the dynamics in the song a lot, and of course a very nice bassline...

Song two: I will survive - Cake
A cover covered by many bands, singers and orchestra's :) Original by Gloria Gaynor as I recall correct. We play the Cake version, it's a bit more alternative and I like it a lot....and yep, again a great bassline in which I can go loose :)

Song three: White Room - Cream
This song gets (for me) better and better each time. Of course I knew it from the greatest hits of all time lists but never really listened to it. The arrangement is really great, layed back but with a lot of nice accents in it...

Song four: Rocking in a Free world - Neil Young
This wil be our closing song for the night, a song most people know so we hope some dancing on the ceiling ;). No serious, it is powerfull yet quiet simple song.

I am really looking forward to the mini-gig, there will be all kinds of bands playing (all bands that rehears overthere), it wil be fun with a nice beer and some snacks :)

I love Cake! I have always been such a huge fan of theirs. I am surprised you guys aren't playing Sunshine of Your Love by Cream. That has a killer bass line. Still a great selection of songs! You guys are going to kill it!
Thank you @bozz , Sunshine of your love is indeed a great song... I don't know why they didn't choose it. they already played White room :) Perhaps for the next round of songs to learn :)

The band I was in back in the 1990s played "Rockin in the Free World" and a couple of songs by Cream, although not "White Room"
Thanks :) White room wouldn't be my first choice... Really never listened to the song, but the band I'm in now already played it, and it's a pretty cool song :)
