Alright before we break into anything serious on this track can I just say that “fake it until we feel it” is a 2000% more genuine approach to the tired, old “fake it til you make it.” Let’s petition to have the phrase officially changed going forward, credit to L.A. songwriter extraordinaire jesse saint john, of course. I mean let’s not literally do that because we should probably save those change.org petitions for things that genuinely matter and not bog their site down with stuff like “Change California’s State Flag to a Picture of Scarlett Johansson” like we’ve all done so many times in the past.
I guess this song from jesse saint john has me thinking though…
What if there isn’t making it anymore in 2018? Only feeling it? Hmmmm….
Maybe we’re all fooling ourselves into the concept of superstardom and fame and success and it’s all about humbleness and creation and that if you don’t truly feel your feelings through your art you won’t be able to break through into public consciousness and instead just probably end up having month long twitter breakdowns of woke conservatism ala Kanye. Who wants that?

jesse saint john has long been writing songs for the likes of Brooke Candy, Charli XCX, Britney Spears, Sia, The Neighborhood, Diplo and Camila Cabello (CREDITS BB) so he’s no stranger to hits just falling out of his brain like genius can’t be contained.
But here, now, on this website you are currently still reading, we have his second entry into solo songwriting and what we think is the emergence of an icon. ““FAKE IT” continues the themes that I explore in my work of yearning for something more and searching for depth in a generation of shallow connections and instant gratification.
