Doom Metal from Russian - The Morningside

In the eve of Russia 2018 World Cup, I come to recommend this Russian band, doom metal. It is my favorite without a doubt, very good, melancholic, natural, melodic and harmonic.
If you like bands like Agalloch, the beginnings of Katatonia or Swallow the Sun, the Morningside will surely delight you.
The Morningside
The Morningside was formed in 2006 in Moscow, Russia. When they released their first work called "The Wind, the Trees and the Shadows of the Past". Disc that has a base of doom metal, with melodic touches, progressive and black metal dyes. Adding to these, environmental sounds typical of doom metal, post rock and post metal. Most of their voices are metal, with the guttural famous in almost all their songs, and very rarely use clean voice. His music has a lot of melody and melancholy, inspired by the Americans "Agalloch", and the doom principles of the Swedish group "Katatonia".

Their songs, usually are long, more than 6 or 7 minutes, and are composed by harmonious and melodic riffs, and by tranches of calm and tranquility and stretches similar to the melodic death metal, with guttural voices.
The lyrics of the band are based mostly on nature, such as wind, trees, rain, forests, fog, among many other natural things. That's why its similarity with Agalloch, besides music. They are fascinating to listen to on a rainy and cold afternoon, or with fog, or much better, on a very cold mountain.
