7-Day Wayback Music Challenge: Day 6-Not Afraid by Eminem
The day six of the #musicwaybackchallenge is here and it's the penultimate day. @turpsy nominated me and truly i feel really bad that it's almost coming to an end. This challenge has been some sort of therapeutic healing with lovely jamz from the past. You know the kind of feeling that gets you overwhelmed with fond memories of the past. I appreciate the initiator of this challenge.
My selection for today is Eminem's Not Afraid
Okay, i know this is not entirely a wayback song for me because i still have it in my everyday playlist of songs. It typically deviated a little away from the usual style of Eminem's drug and violence kinda songs. The positive theme of the song is indeed noteworthy and despite the positive vibes of the song, it was received by many people (who i call critics) as totally different and not anEminem thing.
But the criticisms was soon cut short when it debuted at the number one spot on US and Canada billboard chart.
Without further ado, I will like to pass on this challenge to @ubongj whom i know would also have lots of'em in his archive.
The rules are...
[1] Choose one song from your high-school/college years.
[2] Write a few words about who made you listen to this song for the first time, what this song means to you (was it a breakup song? you blasted it at 100% on your audio system when you were partying with your friends?) whatever you want.
[3] Write your text while listening to the song. As soon as the song ends, wrap up what you where writing and submit it.
[4] Do this for 7 days in a row if you get nominated
[5] Mention one person who should do this on each day.
[6] Tag it with #musicwaybackchallenge and include these rules at the bottom of your post
[7] Follow @greek-trail for great content made by our fellow Greeks!
You really did a good selection to your way back challenge. I loved every bit of it. I wait to see which music that will be the bomb.
